Madhuri Dixit is an Indian film actress, producer
and television personality.
She is often considered one of the best actresses in Bollywood.
She has acted in over seventy films and has won
numerous awards, including six Filmfare Awards.
She was India's highest-paid actress in the 1990s and early 2000s,
and has been included in the Forbes India 100 list seven times.
In addition to acting, she has displayed equal talent in the art
of beauty and dance.
She was awarded the Padma Shri, the fourth highest civilian
award of the Government of India,
in 2008 for her outstanding performance in Hindi cinema.
She made her debut in 1984 with the lead role in the drama
Abodh.
After several commercial failures, she achieved her first
commercial success with the violent romantic film Tezaab
in 1988, which received a huge response from the audience.
Throughout the 1990s, she enjoyed unparalleled prominence
and influence as a leading actress and leading dancer in
