Tania Ahmed Biography
Tania Ahmed is a Bangladeshi model, actress, director and presenter.
Born: 5 June 1972
Although she started her career with modeling,
she later acted in television dramas. The characters of Mairon
in Seku Sikander's drama and Manjela in Rang Manush gave
her recognition.
Later, she focused on acting in television dramas as well as
directing music videos.
Tania's career started with modeling. Initially, she did not want
to do modeling.
But a friend of hers saw her old pictures and asked her to start
modeling and showed her pictures to Afzal Hossain.
Afzal called her for an audition and she was selected in the
audition. In 1991, she first worked in an advertisement for
Diamond Hair Oil directed by Afzal.
She made her television debut in 1992 with the drama Sampak.
The drama was directed by Faria Hossain. In 1997,
she first gained popularity by playing the role of Mairon in
Seku Sikander's drama directed by the renowned drama director
Saidul Anam Tutul.
In 2004, she was praised for her performance in the film Shyamal
Chhaya directed by Humayun Ahmed and won the Bachsas Award
for Best Supporting Actress.
She also acted in the comedy films Made in Bangladesh (2007)
and No. 2 Danger Signal (2007).
In 2016, she won the National Film Award for Best Supporting
Actress for her performance in the film Krishnapaksha.
In 2017, her first film, Bhalasoba Aain Ho, was released.
