Zakia Bari Mamo Biography

Zakia Bari Mamo is a Bangladeshi actress and model.

Mamo was born on December 19, 1985.

Her father is Mojibul Bari and mother is Ayesha Akhter.

 

She spent her childhood in Brahmanbaria district.

She learned dancing from Kabirul Islam Ratan at Alauddin Khan 

Sangeetanga in Brahmanbaria. 

She made her first television appearance in 1995.

She won the Bangladesh Television's Notun Kuri competition.

Then she won the Lux-Channel I Superstar Beauty Contest in 2006.

 She graduated from Jahangirnagar University in 2010 in the 

Department of Drama and Dramaology and completed her 

postgraduate studies in 2012.

She won the Lux-Channel I Superstar Beauty Contest in 2006.

She made her debut in the film industry in 2007 with the film 

Daruchini Dwip directed by Taukir Ahmed.

 

For her work in this film, she won the National Film Award

in the Best Actress category.

In addition, she won the Best Actress Award in the Audience

and Critics' Choice category of the Meril-Prothom Alo Award

for her performance in the film Choye Dile Mon in 2015.

She has also worked in television dramas along with films.
